A divorce is always a painful affair, at times it might be the only option left for mutual happiness, while at times it might be the result of a hasty decision. Often couples get divorced after quarrels and other incompatibility issues, only to regret their decision. It can be really frustrating if you have divorced your wife and still you are in love with her. After the divorce, things might really look depressing and you may feel that you have lost your wife forever but like they say, every cloud has a silver lining. If you are certain that you would like to give your marriage another chance, then it might not be that hard.
First you have to realize that it takes time to build a relationship, and when one has suffered a setback, things just can’t be all right overnight. You have to give it time and you have to develop patience. After the divorce when you want her back, the first thing that is likely to come to your mind is to call and pour your heart out to her. Well you have to avoid this at all cost. The divorce was a painful affair for her too, and you need to give her space to come to terms with it.
Next take your time to analyze what actually went wrong in the marriage. If you still believe that it was her fault, and that she must change herself then you might want to reconsider the whole thing. The only way that this can work is if you are ready to accept your own faults and reform yourself. Were you too obsessed with work? Did you send more time with your television set? Did you help out with the household chores? Were you verbally abusive? Did you throw temper tantrums frequently? , Ask yourself such tough questions and acknowledge your blunders and try to curb them. After all if you get your wife back, it won’t do you much good if you don’t change a bit.
After a considerable time you can try getting in touch with her. Meet casually, be supportive and do not talk about the past or getting back together. Just enjoy the meetings, talk about your lives and show her that you have changed. You can gradually start talking about your marriage and try to listen what she feels about the divorce, try to understand if she is ready to get back together or she has moved on.
Remember that no matter how badly you want her back, you have no right to impose your decisions on her. So try to find out how she feels and then act accordingly. She may not be committed, but she might need some more time to get to know what she really wants. It is your responsibility to give her that time. Don’t force, coax or nag her to take a hasty decision. If you are patient enough and if your feelings are strong, then you just might succeed in getting your beloved wife back in your life!
